ABOUT THE ARTIST
I have been photographing for over forty years. My first photograph was entered in a high school photo contest and won first place. The picture was of a very messy locker shared by a number of my friends. The funny thing is that I knew this picture was a winner, I saw the photograph before I took it.
High school provided me wih a basic understanding of the photographic process. It was at this point I built a darkroom in my garage and looked for photo assignments. I thought that was pretty good for a sixteen year old.
Holding a number of the typical photo jobs growing up I quickly realized that I wanted to photograph on my terms, no expectations other than what I wanted to achieve.
The photographs that are on this website hopefully offer a glimpse into my makeup, things that I felt should be noticed and not overlooked.
